8 Beginning Blogger Mistakes to Avoid

Blogging Mistakes to Avoid

Are you thinking of starting to make your own blog to share your ideas and experiences with other people?

Or maybe you are the type of person who likes to work on the Internet all day thinking you can get paid for blogging by simply sharing your passions online?

Blogging is fun and enjoyable. But unlike what other people might think or say, it is something that is not simple to do or accomplish.

You would only realize that being a blogger is harder than what you thought it would be once you started composing your first blog or topic. There are, of course, lots of challenges that will come your way. But do not let these troubles stop you from trying. You must learn and find ways on how to overcome them for you to succeed.

Mistakes Will Happen

Making a mistake is one thing that you cannot prevent when creating a blog. You should not take these mistakes as a sign of failure. Always bear in mind that no one is perfect. Even professional bloggers will commit errors and that is fine, as long as you take them positively as a sign to learn and improve.

With that in mind, one intelligent thing to do as a beginner in the world of blogging is to learn from other bloggers’ mistakes. If you make yourself aware of these common lapses, you can save yourself from headaches and you can start creating your blog with confidence.

Also, don’t make the mistake of running your business on a shared hosting plan.  With shared hosting, you’re actually sharing your webserver with several other websites – and they could be spammy websites or even porn and you won’t know (commonly known as “bad neighbors”.)  Get on a business-class website right away and one that is optimized for speed which will boost SEO.  Here’s our Number 1 recommendation and what this website runs on:

Don’t Stress!

Avoid stressing over your article. Do not pressure yourself in writing a perfect blog. If you know that your story is somewhere between good and great, you can absolutely publish it. Your time is very valuable, taking so much of it to compose a flawless blog is such a waste. Always bear in mind that a perfect blog content doesn’t exist.

Make a time to read all your blog comments and make sure to respond to each one of them. Remember that these people will not read and post comments to your page if they are not interested. Let them know that you care about their opinions and loyalty by sending them a quick reply. You can also benefit from it, as this will give you a chance to better understand their needs and concerns.

Write with Personality

Always write articles with memorable personality. People will enjoy reading your stories and will come back to it repeatedly if they are written in a one-of-a-kind way, so be confident with your own style. Never put other people’s personality in your writings.  If your readers loved your content, they will also share it with their friends.

Great Infographic. On point 5 you mention to spend more time promoting an article than writing it. However, once the social media channels are setup it takes hardly any time to post the content up each day. What methods of content exposure would you recommend besides social media? I’ve recently launched a new project and am demanding that I stick to a schedule. Google has yet to recognize me for it but I believe that is coming. I’ve been working on it for almost 30 days now and quite agree that following a schedule is imperative for success.
