You Are Putting in the Work
A dream becomes a plan when it’s written down and has specific goals leading towards successful outcomes. Being ready for beginning your business is similar to other “life leaps.” You cannot be 100 percent ready to be married, have a baby, or buy a home. You have to have confidence in your ability to work through problems, keep going, and continue to set goals. Building a business is the same: barring odd circumstances (like being a small business owner at the beginning of a pandemic or major economic downturn), business life is about working towards goals and keeping working, no matter what.
You Are a Leader
Statistically, 29 percent of small business owners started their business because they were ready to be their own boss. However, to become a good leader takes additional skills. Leadership includes being willing to take accountability, apologizing when you make mistakes, and leading with both efficiency and kindness. Developing the patience to work with the general public is one thing, but having the patience to lead a team with compassion and firmness is a new thing altogether!
You Think Differently
Not shockingly, many entrepreneurs have neurodivergent qualities! If you’ve been asked if you have ADHD, or ASD, for instance, those are the exact qualities that can drive the hunger and curiosity needed to fuel a successful business!
